The Reform Party has restructured its central office and completed the appointment of chairs in 12 out of 16 regional offices.

On October 6, the Reform Party announced in a press release that it has reorganized its central office from a structure of one department and six divisions to two departments and six teams. The office, which was previously divided into the Planning and Coordination, General Affairs, Organization, Public Relations, Communications, Policy, and Secretariat divisions, has been restructured into the Party Affairs Coordination Department and the Strategic Planning Department. The Reform Party stated that this move aims to streamline the organization to enhance work efficiency and promote collaboration between departments.

Additionally, the party has appointed chairs (acting chairs) in 12 of the 16 regional offices. Among the four remaining offices, Busan is designated as a 'troubled office,' while Gangwon, Jeonbuk, and Jeju are in a state of non-establishment.

A 'troubled office' refers to a regional office that is unable to function normally due to the resignation of the chair or other reasons, prompting the party leadership to designate it as 'troubled' and manage it directly. Meanwhile, a state of non-establishment indicates that the regional office has not yet been formed.

According to the party, five of the 12 appointed members are in their 20s and 30s.

Lee Gi-in, the chair of the emergency committee, stated, "The decision to accept the resignations of all central office staff, as promised at the launch of the emergency committee, has provided us with momentum for organizational renewal. We respected that resolve and restructured the organization to enhance its functionality instead of accepting the resignations."

He added, "The core of this renewal is to establish a streamlined central office and an AI-based operational system that can maintain the agility of a small party without following the large organizations of major parties. Based on the new central office and the 12 regional organizations, we will steadily prepare for the upcoming general election and the party's reconstruction tasks."
