KyoWon Group announced on October 8 that it is gradually establishing a framework for utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) across its operations to enhance employees' AI capabilities.

Chairman Jang Pyeong-soon has identified AI as a key growth strategy for the education sector this year, emphasizing the need to build a system that allows the company to lead in education during the AI era.

He proposed that combining the extensive learning data accumulated by Kumon and the Red Pen with AI could enhance understanding of individual members and provide more sophisticated learning management and counseling services.

Currently, KyoWon Group is offering practical AI training for employees and supporting subscription fees for necessary AI services, creating an environment where members can utilize AI in their work.

Based on this foundation, the company plans to explore AI utilization methods tailored to job roles and characteristics, gradually establishing the necessary infrastructure and operational systems in each area.

In June, KyoWon Group launched an AI Task Force (AI TF) to accelerate its company-wide AX transition. The AI TF is responsible for clarifying the direction of the group's AI transition and identifying and promoting AI utilization projects across various business and operational areas.

While the focus has been on laying the groundwork for employees to use AI in their work, the company plans to accelerate the 'internalization of AI utilization' by encouraging members to actively apply AI in their tasks based on accumulated experience.

In particular, this second half of the year, the group will select 'AI Champions' to lead AX implementation in each organization and will operate a dedicated training program to systematically enhance their expertise.

AI Champions will serve as practical leaders in AX, identifying and executing AI utilization projects within their organizations, spreading AI utilization models suited to job characteristics, and leading AI application within their teams.

Additionally, the group plans to continuously identify and share successful cases of AI utilization that have demonstrated results, establishing a system for widespread dissemination across the organization.

Various support and incentive measures will also be considered to encourage voluntary AI utilization among members and promote the spread of successful cases.

A KyoWon Group representative stated, "The ultimate goal of the group's AX is to ensure that AI utilization is not a one-time task but becomes naturally integrated into the way members work. We will create a foundation for members to identify and execute AX projects centered around AI Champions, fostering a culture of continuous voluntary AX innovation throughout the organization."
