Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) is participating in an international defense exhibition in Morocco, aiming to penetrate the African market.

KAI announced on October 8 that it is taking part in the '2026 Marrakech Airshow,' which runs from October 7 to 10. The Marrakech Airshow, which began in 2008, is a leading aerospace and defense exhibition in North Africa and the Middle East, held biennially. This year marks the eighth edition of the event, featuring around 200 companies from 27 countries.

Representing domestic companies, KAI is showcasing key models including the FA-50, KF-21, Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH), and Armed Helicopter (MIRON). A dedicated display area for the FA-50 has been set up, targeting Morocco's advanced trainer aircraft acquisition program. The FA-50 is capable of performing tasks ranging from pilot training to light combat missions. It is currently in operation in several countries, including Indonesia, Iraq, the Philippines, Thailand, Poland, and Malaysia.

KAI is also conducting export marketing aimed at key countries in Africa and the Middle East. During the airshow, KAI plans to meet with senior officials from the governments and military of Morocco, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Saudi Arabia to discuss cooperation for the export of the FA-50 and helicopters.

Kim Yong-min, Executive Vice President of KAI's Business Division, stated, "We will promote KAI's diverse products and technological capabilities centered around the FA-50 to uncover new business opportunities in the region."
