SK Telecom is launching a public-private cultural tourism project called 'K-Treasure Road' in collaboration with the National Museum of Korea and other organizations, using its T Factory in Seongsu as a base. The initiative aims to connect exhibitions and experiential content related to cultural artifacts with visits to local museums and tourist sites.

On October 12, SK Telecom announced its partnership with the National Museum of Korea, the Korea Tourism Organization, and the National Museum of Korea Foundation to implement the 'K-Treasure Road' project.

This project is being developed in conjunction with the '2027-2029 Visit Korea Year.' The four organizations explained that the initiative is designed to spark interest in cultural artifacts displayed at T Factory and encourage visits to local museums and tourist attractions that house these artifacts.

During the collaboration, SK Telecom will provide T Factory as an exhibition and experiential space, while jointly planning exhibitions and content creation with the Korea Tourism Organization. The project will utilize digital exhibition infrastructure to create interactive content that allows visitors to engage with cultural artifacts and museum products known as 'MU:DS.' This brand combines 'museum' and 'goods' to represent products from national museums. The exhibition program will also be developed to connect museums and cultural artifacts with travel, catering to the interests of younger generations and foreign tourists who frequent Seongsu.

Each participating organization has defined roles. The Korea Tourism Organization will support inter-agency collaboration, regional tourism connections, project planning, operations, and promotion. The National Museum of Korea will assist in content creation through expert review, while the National Museum of Korea Foundation will be responsible for the joint planning and production of MU:DS collaborative products.

SK Telecom plans to establish a cultural tourism route connecting T Factory in Seongsu to the National Museum of Korea and local museums, contributing to the revitalization of regional tourism by linking with local attractions and small businesses.

Yoon Jae-woong, head of SK Telecom's Product & Brand Division, stated, "Through this collaboration, visitors to T Factory will discover the charm of our cultural artifacts and experience the joy of local travel. We will continue to strive to make T Factory a hub that offers unique experiences to our customers through various collaborations."

The four organizations plan to unveil their first collaborative program in November and will gradually expand the project leading up to the first year of the '2027-2029 Visit Korea Year' in 2027.
