A robot reportedly groped a teenage girl on the streets of Germany, with the incident being live-streamed on social media.
According to local police, the incident occurred on October 10 at approximately 11:45 p.m. in front of a fast-food restaurant in Cologne. A 1.2-meter-tall robot approached the 16-year-old girl from behind and made inappropriate physical contact.
At the time, a 19-year-old man, who was with the robot's 16-year-old owner, filmed the incident and streamed it live on social media.
Police, responding to reports of the incident, discovered the robot in the trunk of the car the suspects were using. The robot was reportedly dressed in a sleeveless shirt and sweatpants.
Authorities have seized the robot and the suspects' mobile phones and are investigating whether the robot was operated with the intent to commit sexual assault.
