Posco's wage negotiations are set to resume after nearly a month.

According to Yonhap News, both sides will meet at 2 p.m. on the 14th at the company's headquarters in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province. This meeting comes after negotiations were halted on September 15.

While the details of the negotiations have not been fully disclosed, it has been reported that no significant agreement has been reached so far.

The labor union is demanding a 7.1% increase in base salary, a 600% incentive bonus, 50 shares of employee stock ownership, and a 200% holiday bonus.

In contrast, the company has proposed a 2.0% increase in base salary, a 3.5 million won performance bonus, a 500,000 won local gift certificate, and an expansion of the scope for longevity bonuses.

The Korean Metal Workers' Union of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions has faced difficulties in negotiations with the company, leading to two partial strikes last month.

Following this, the union held elections for its new leadership on October 2, temporarily pausing wage negotiations. Reports indicate that Kim Seong-ho, the current chairperson, was re-elected.

After reorganizing, the union has stated that it may resort to a third partial strike depending on the company's proposals and negotiation stance.

The union's strike response committee warned, "If the company continues to drag out negotiations without a clear timeline, we will focus all our efforts on preparing for a third partial strike and escalate our actions."
