A woman in her 20s, who was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest following a stabbing incident at a large commercial facility in Guwol-dong, Incheon, has not yet regained consciousness.

According to reports from Yonhap News, police, and Gachon University Gil Medical Center on October 13, the victim, identified as A, was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed by a 59-year-old man, B, and underwent emergency surgery.

While A has since stabilized and is no longer in cardiac arrest, she remains in the intensive care unit and has not regained consciousness.

Medical staff plan to conduct further tests after monitoring A's condition.

A's father spoke to reporters at the hospital on the afternoon of the incident, expressing his anger, saying, "I want to see that man's face just once," before adding, "I’m too overwhelmed right now, let’s talk later."

A's mother, who arrived at the hospital earlier, was seen in tears upon hearing the shocking news about her daughter.

In addition to A, seven other individuals, aged between 20 and 50, were also transported to the hospital by emergency services due to B's actions, but their injuries are not life-threatening.

The husband of a woman in her 50s, identified as C, who sustained injuries to her arms and shoulders, stated, "My wife was at the commercial facility for an errand when she was attacked. She was coming down the escalator after parking on the third floor when B approached from the opposite direction and stabbed her."

Meanwhile, B is reported to have taken the elevator from the first floor to the second floor of the building before committing the attack and then used the escalator to move to the third floor, where he indiscriminately wielded the weapon. Police plan to investigate B's motives and will apply for an arrest warrant on October 14.
