Aekyung Industry is expanding its support for youth preparing for independence in Chungnam to include housing improvements. This year, the company will assist in establishing a foundation for independent living through wallpaper and flooring replacements, repairs of aging facilities, and the provision of essential living supplies.

Aekyung Industry announced on October 14 that it has donated a total of 100 million won as part of the third year of the 'Chungnam Youth Preparing for Independence Support Project' during a ceremony held at the Chungnam Provincial Office.

This initiative aims to alleviate the challenges faced by youth preparing for independence as they transition to independent living after leaving protective care, helping them settle into society.

Since 2024, Aekyung Industry has been providing phased support over three years. In the first year, the company offered 'first living' support worth 500,000 won to 200 youth in the Chungnam area. Last year, it provided emotional support and cultural experiences through healing camps and overseas training for 100 youth. This year, it will support 100 youth with a 'new start package' that includes housing improvements and essential living supplies.

Approximately 42 million won will be allocated for housing improvements. The project will determine the necessary improvements through guidance from dedicated agencies, demand surveys, and on-site assessments. Local Saemaul organizations and professional volunteers will assist with wallpaper and flooring replacements, repairs, and enhancements of aging facilities.

About 58 million won has been designated for the new start package, which will include kitchen items such as microwaves, frying pans, and dishes, as well as living essentials like storage containers, low tables, and electric kettles, along with safety items like power strips, first aid kits, and multi-tools.

The Chungnam Love Fruit will manage the distribution and oversight of the project, while Chungnam Province will handle administrative cooperation and the ceremony. The Chungnam Saemaul Association will focus on improving living spaces, and the Bodum Sharing Volunteer Group will be responsible for planning, producing, and delivering the packages. The Chungnam Youth Independence Support Agency will recommend and guide participants and manage cases.

Kim Sang-jun, CEO of Aekyung Industry, stated, "The support needed for youth preparing for independence goes beyond simply providing items; it is about establishing a foundation for them to start their lives stably. I hope that the support we have provided over the past three years, from first living assistance to emotional support and this year's housing improvements and essential supplies, will help these youth make a stable start."

Meanwhile, Aekyung Industry established a new hair care division in April and is targeting the hair loss and scalp care market. The company plans to enhance its competitiveness in the domestic market while strengthening its presence in overseas markets such as North America and Europe through product expansion and the selection of new models.
