Korea Energy University is extending its English education program, known as ESP (English for Specific Purpose), to middle school students in the Naju area.

Previously, the program was only available to elementary school students.

Since October of last year, the university has operated the 'ESP Leader's Club' for students from 24 elementary schools in Naju in collaboration with the city.

This year, it will launch the 'ESP Energy Classroom' for all grades at Bonghwang Middle School.

The ESP education for elementary and middle school students will take place from October 21 to November 14.

The ESP program, a key initiative of Korea Energy University, focuses on learning English around specific purposes and topics.

Students will explore scientific subjects in English, allowing them to learn the language naturally.

Professor Park Jeong-young, who developed the ESP program, stated, "Expanding the ESP education from elementary to middle school is significant as it provides local students with ongoing opportunities for integrated English and science education. Korea Energy University plans to continue offering programs that make it easier and more familiar for local students to engage with English."
