SEOUL, October 15 (AJP) - Rosé of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK will perform at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)'s annual gala early next month, the museum said on Tuesday.

She was invited to the museum's Art+Film Gala, co-chaired by LACMA trustee Eva Chow and Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio in sponsorship with luxury fashion house Gucci and automaker Audi.

Now in its 15th year, this year's event will take place on Nov. 7 and honor American visual artist Vija Celmins and Canadian filmmaker Denis Villeneuve.

"The [annual gala] celebrates creative icons and the connections between all forms of creativity, all around the world," Chow said in a statement. "As a global pop superstar, Rosé will amplify the spirit of the evening with her incomparable talent and style," she added.

The gala raises funds to expand the role of film in LACMA's exhibitions and other programs, while supporting art acquisitions and educational initiatives.

It brings together artists, filmmakers, musicians and other luminaries from around the world to celebrate creativity across diverse art forms.
