The British luxury car brand Bentley has unveiled its first all-electric vehicle, the 'Torcal,' in South Korea, marking its debut in Asia. Bentley aims to leverage electrification as a new growth driver and expand its presence in the domestic luxury car market.

On October 15, Bentley Motors introduced the 'Torcal,' its fourth model, at an event in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. This Asia debut coincides with the 20th anniversary of Bentley Motors Korea's official entry into the South Korean market, where it is recognized as a pioneer in the luxury car segment since its launch in 2006.

Key executives from Bentley Motors attended the unveiling, including Chairman and CEO Frank-Steffen Walliser, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Christophe Georges, Chief Design Officer Robin Page, and Asia-Pacific Regional Director Dave Hater, who emphasized the significance of the South Korean market.

Walliser stated, "South Korea is a large market that sets new trends, making it very important. The automotive technologies embraced here are recognized globally, and the customer base is quite young."

Hater also noted, "South Korea has played a crucial role in Bentley's journey over the past 20 years. The Torcal will offer a new expression of modern luxury while showcasing fresh appeal in Korea."

The Torcal boasts impressive performance with a maximum output of 888 horsepower and a torque of 137.7 kg.m (1350 Nm). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 260 km/h. The vehicle has a driving range of 600 km (WLTP standard) and can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 16 minutes using a 400 kW fast charger.

Featuring a new design language, the Torcal is equipped with Bentley's first full active suspension system. Customers can choose between the standard Torcal and the sportier Torcal S. It is also the first production model to feature the new Bentley wing emblem introduced last year.

Orders for the Bentley Torcal in South Korea began on the same day, with official pricing starting at 330 million won for both the Torcal and Torcal S. Customer deliveries are expected to commence in late 2027.
