Lotte Innovate is implementing a two-track strategy to enhance its data center operations domestically while expanding into international markets. In South Korea, the company aims to strengthen its capabilities at the Ansan Global Cloud Center (GCC), while also seeking new business opportunities in collaboration with local firms in Vietnam.

On October 16, Lotte Innovate announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ITCENS CTS to ensure stable operations at the Ansan GCC and to explore future collaborations in the data center sector.

Recently, Lotte Innovate secured a contract for the management of the Ansan GCC and is now focused on enhancing its operational capabilities to support stable business execution and future expansion into large-scale data center projects. The company plans to combine specialized personnel with IT infrastructure expertise to improve its competitive edge in data center operations.

The Ansan GCC, located in Gyeonggi Province, will be a data center with a capacity of approximately 40 megawatts, scheduled for completion in 2027. Lotte Innovate has entered into a five-year management contract with Aegis Asset Management to oversee the center's operations. ITCENS CTS will provide specialized operational personnel and infrastructure technology to support the establishment of a stable operational framework.

Through this agreement, both companies plan to seek collaboration opportunities in the hyperscale and edge data center sectors and pursue new business development through joint sales and marketing efforts.

Lotte Innovate is also strengthening its partnerships for entry into the international data center market. Domestically, the company aims to enhance its expertise in operating large data centers, while internationally, it seeks new market opportunities through local partnerships.

On October 13, Lotte Innovate signed a strategic MOU with CMC Group, a major IT company in Vietnam, to jointly explore new business opportunities, including hyperscale data centers.

In South Korea, Lotte Innovate has been operating its own data centers in Seoul, Yongin, and Daejeon for about 20 years. Following the management contract for the Kamsquare data center last December, the company secured a design, build, and operate (DBO) project for an edge data center with Aegis Asset Management in February, and recently finalized the contract for the Ansan GCC.

A representative from Lotte Innovate stated, "Data centers are a critical infrastructure area that is becoming increasingly important with the rise of AI and cloud technology. We will leverage our domestic operational experience and capabilities to expand global partnerships and develop our data center business as a long-term growth driver."
