Gyeongnam Information University has organized an event to share management know-how accumulated in the field of entrepreneurship with local aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners. Three current business leaders will present on topics ranging from enhancing brand competitiveness to operating small-scale restaurants and strategies for business growth.

The university's AI Startup Department announced that it will host the '1st KIT Startup Forum: Finding Answers to Entrepreneurship Locally' on three Saturdays from October 24 to November 7.

This forum, organized as part of the Ministry of Education's specialized college innovation support program, is significant as it opens the university's entrepreneurship education to not only current students but also local aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners.

The forum will focus on practical challenges faced during the startup process, covering topics from initial branding to store operations and business expansion.

The first lecture on October 24 will feature Hong Jeong-hoon, CEO of branding firm OAR Studio, which was selected as a promising small business in Busan in 2026. He will discuss 'Local Branding Strategies for Survival in Busan,' sharing methods to secure brand competitiveness in local markets.

On October 31, Bang Se-yoon, CEO of Yeohyeonbangga, a notable local startup, will share practical insights from his experience in operating a small-scale restaurant and establishing a business.

The final lecture on November 7 will be led by Park Jun-sang, CEO of Southeast Accelerator Series Ventures, who will explain strategies for small businesses to grow into larger enterprises. He will cover topics from survival strategies in local markets to securing policy funding for growth after startup.

All three speakers are current business operators, focusing on delivering practical knowledge and experiences that aspiring entrepreneurs can apply in the field.

“Through the 1st KIT Startup Forum, we aim to provide practical solutions to increase the survival rate of local entrepreneurs for citizens interested in starting a business in Busan,” said An Seong-woo, head of the AI Startup Department. “We encourage many aspiring entrepreneurs to participate and engage with us.”

The forum is free of charge, and any citizen interested in entrepreneurship can apply online.
