Suhyup Bank is accelerating efforts to improve financial accessibility for vulnerable groups.

The bank announced on the 19th that it has implemented an 'electronic braille service' for personal internet banking, starting from the 16th. This service converts text displayed on the internet banking screen into braille files, allowing visually impaired users to check the information using braille information devices or print it with braille printers.

The service covers approximately 23 key menus, including transaction history by product, transfer history inquiries, credit card billing statements, and various certificate issuances. Users can download the electronic braille files from the 'Braille View' menu at the bottom of the personal internet banking screen to access their financial transaction information.

This new feature is expected to enhance the convenience of internet banking for visually impaired individuals, who previously found it challenging to verify financial information using only voice guidance.

Suhyup Bank has been expanding services to improve accessibility for financially vulnerable groups. It operates dedicated financial service counters for the elderly, people with disabilities, customers with infants, and pregnant women. Additionally, it has introduced services such as VoiceEye for contract document voice conversion, as well as braille bankbooks, braille cards, and voice OTP.

Shin Hak-ki, president of Suhyup Bank, stated, "I hope the introduction of this electronic braille service will provide practical assistance to our visually impaired customers. We will continue to enhance infrastructure for financial accessibility and expand inclusive finance so that all customers can use financial services without discrimination."
