The Seongnam Youth Foundation in Gyeonggi Province has conducted an educational program aimed at enhancing young people's skills in artificial intelligence (AI) and their employment capabilities, sharing the results of participants' projects.
On October 20, the foundation held a performance exchange and graduation ceremony for the '2026 Seongnam Youth AI Camp' at the Yatap Youth Center.
This camp was designed to help young people apply AI technology in practical settings and improve their job competitiveness.
Participants engaged in eight weeks of AI training and demonstrations, followed by personalized guidance from experts to develop their individual projects.
The event was attended by 29 young graduates and program officials.
Participants presented the final products of their AI-based web services, known as MVPs (Minimum Viable Products), and shared their project processes and outcomes.
After on-site evaluations, one top project and two outstanding projects were selected.
The top award went to participant Kim Joo-yeon for developing 'Follow Up,' a service that automatically organizes tasks and schedules for work-related conversations using AI.
Outstanding awards were given to Kim Ji-hwan for 'Flow Run' and Sun Eun-chae for 'Focusuniv.'
The winners received awards from the CEO of the Seongnam Youth Foundation, and all participants were presented with certificates of completion.
Kim Joo-yeon stated, “Through this program, I gained extensive experience in using AI tools and developed great confidence in utilizing AI as a practical asset in the future.”
This camp is significant as it connected AI education to actual service development projects, allowing young people to gain practical experience and implement their results.
Consequently, there is growing interest in expanding educational opportunities that can enhance young people's practical AI skills and assist in their job preparation.
Meanwhile, CEO Yang Kyung-seok remarked, “This camp was a meaningful process for young people to directly address everyday and societal issues using AI technology.”
He added, “We will continue to support Seongnam youth in developing practical AI skills and becoming competitive talents in the job market.”
