The Ansan City Council's Culture and Welfare Committee and Planning and Administration Committee conducted field activities on October 20 during the first regular session of the 306th administrative audit, assessing the status of major projects and the operation of administrative services.

The Culture and Welfare Committee visited the Dongju Salt Farm experience site to examine plans for utilizing tourism resources and safety management measures. Meanwhile, the Planning and Administration Committee visited the Ansan Civil Consultation Call Center to discuss the quality of consultation services and ways to improve the working environment for consultants.

On October 20, the Culture and Welfare Committee inspected the facility's development status and future utilization plans at the Dongju Salt Farm experience site located in Danwon-gu, Daebudo-dong.

The Dongju Salt Farm is the only remaining salt farm in the area, producing solar salt using traditional methods since 1953.

To promote tourism, a development plan was established in 2020, with construction ongoing from 2022 to 2024. Currently, a basic plan for activating the experience site has been completed.

On this day, Chairperson Lee Jin-bun, Vice Chairperson Baek Seung-hee, and committee members Kim Jin-sook, Seol Ho-young, and Cheon Bok-hee toured key facilities such as the observatory, zip line, and education center, while also inspecting nearby roads and drainage facilities.

They emphasized the need for thorough management and inspections to address potential safety issues during facility use.

Chairperson Lee stated, "We expect that enhancing the Dongju Salt Farm experience site, including expanding facilities for children, will invigorate the local economy and attract more residents."

Planning and Administration Committee Inspects Civil Consultation Call Center Operations and Consultant Working Conditions

Additionally, the Planning and Administration Committee visited the Ansan Civil Consultation Call Center located on the second floor of the Environmental and Greenery Bureau on Central Road in Danwon-gu on the same day. They reviewed the operational status and procedures for handling civil complaints, discussing service improvements and the protection of consultants' rights.

The Ansan Civil Consultation Call Center operates year-round, providing a one-stop service for citizens' complaints through various channels, including phone, text, and social media.

Chairperson Park Eun-jung, Vice Chairperson Yoon Seong-young, and committee members Hyun Ok-soon, Lee Jae-bok, Lee Sang-woo, Yoo Min-hee, and Ahn Du-hwa listened to operational updates from citizen cooperation officials. They then toured the consultation area, training room, computer room, meeting room, and break room to assess the working conditions and rest environment for consultants.

They also observed the process of making well-being calls to elderly individuals living alone to verify the on-site consultation process.

Furthermore, they visited the cafeteria at Danwon-gu Office to check on meal operations, food quality, and employee welfare conditions.

Chairperson Park emphasized, "Protecting consultants' rights and improving their working environment will lead to high-quality administrative services. We will strengthen administrative and institutional support for service quality enhancement based on on-site feedback."
