S. Korean duo wins gold medal at Badminton World Championship

South Korea's Ko Sung-hyun and Shin Baek-choel won the gold medal in the men's doubles at the 2014 Badminton World Championship in Copenhagen, Denmark, Sunday (local time), by beating compatriots Lee Yong-dae and Yoo Yeon-seon.

In the final match held at the Ballerup Super Arena, the world’s 10th-placed Ko-Shin duo defeated the top-ranked Lee-Yoo pair 2-1 (22-20, 21-23, 21-18).

In the women's doubles, South Korea's Shin Seung-chan-Lee So-hee duo captured the bronze medal. China's Tian Qing-Zhao Yunlei pair won the gold medal, by defeating compatriots Yu Yang and Wang Xiaoli in the final.
