Girl group G-FRIEND has sold more than 100,000 copies of its upcoming 4th mini-album "The Awakening" for pre-sales before its release on Monday, breaking its own album sales record.
The six-member group sold 60,000 copies in pre-sales of its full-album "LOL". G-FRIEND's pre-sale album was compared to a winter special album released by TWICE, the most popular girl group in South Korea, which sold 115,000 copies in pre-sales in December last year.
G-FRIEND's teaser clips for its title track from the mini-album "Fingertip" has also caught the eyes of music fans. The girls have garnered a combined YouTube view counts of over two million with their teaser clips.
