SEOUL -- W Concept, the online apparel shopping mall wing of South Korea's retail giant Shinsegae, will release BTS T-shirts designed to celebrate the group's 10th debut anniversary. A limited amount of fashion items would be sold through two official websites to attract both South Korean and overseas consumers.

The seven-member band's agency has earlier announced that the 10th-anniversary festival titled "2023 BTS FESTA" would take place at various attractions in Seoul including Dongdaemun Digital Plaza (DDP) and Seoul Tower from June 12 to June 25. Big Hit will showcase different content during the 14-day event such as fireworks. All event spots including City Hall and the World Cup Bridge will be stained purple, an iconic color of the K-pop band.

W Concept said in a statement that its T-shirts with the BTS logo would be released on June 12, a day before the group's 10th debut anniversary. The fashion items with the slogan "PRESENTS EVERYWHERE" in the center are available in two different colors -- black and purple. The sale would officially end on June 25.

The K-pop phenomenon, which debuted on June 13, 2013, has topped Billboard's top 100 popular song chart with six songs over the past 10 years. In November 2022, BTS' disco pop single Dynamite became the first K-pop song that was streamed from the Moon to Earth using an experimental wireless space internet service after the launch of the Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO), the first lunar orbiter in South Korea.

Two members of the group -- J-HOPE and Jin -- are currently fulfilling their mandatory military service. In South Korea, all able-bodied men who are 18 or older must do their service for at least 18 months unless they have a valid reason for exemption. BTS members would be allowed to participate in limited group activities while serving in the military if top officers make an exceptional judgment that their reunion could promote national interest.
