HD Hyundai Heavy said on December 28 that the company worked with a fire station in the southeastern industrial city of Ulsan to produce leaflets. The safety guidelines were designed to inform how to use a fire extinguisher and hydrant, automatic external defibrillator (AED), and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). It also contains information about earthquake evacuation tips and emergency contact information. A total of 4,300 leaflets were produced.
Meanwhile, the shipbuilder completed the basic design of South Korea's 6,500-ton Aegis destroyer. Through the Korea Destroyer Next Generation (KDDX) project, the company aims to create a battleship with cruise missiles, advanced sensors, a missile defense system, and stealth characteristics, all built with pure domestic technologies. Six KDDX destroyers will be built by 2030. They will use a new system that improves stealth capabilities, along with multifunction radars to detect missiles, aircraft, and the surface of the sea at the same time.
