SEOUL, May 03 (AJU PRESS) - Big Hit Music, the entertainment powerhouse behind BTS and Tomorrow X Together, has launched a global audition to discover a new boy band that will continue the legacy of the K-pop sensations.
The contest is open to males of any nationality born after 2006 and will be held both online and offline, the company said Friday.
The offline audition will run from June 1 to August 31 in 17 regions around the world, including Hawaii, Vancouver, Sydney, Oakland, Bangkok, Tokyo and Seoul, while the online event will be underway from May 2 to August 31.
Online applications can be submitted through videos showcasing talents such as music and acting, or even with just a photo. For offline auditions, registrations will only be accepted on-site with no separate pre-registration required.
Events featuring photo booths and games will take place at several audition sites, including Orange County, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
"We're excited to host a range of engaging events where applicants can audition in a relaxed atmosphere," Big Hit Music said in a press release. "We eagerly anticipate the participation of talented individuals eager to showcase their unique charm."
