SEOUL, July 23 (AJU PRESS) - 2NE1, one of the most popular girl groups of the early 2000s, will reunite this fall to mark the 15th anniversary of their debut, their agency YG Entertainment said Monday.

The agency also released a couple of nostalgic teaser posters reminiscent of their heyday to build excitement among fans for their upcoming return.

The quartet will kick off their reunion with concerts in Seoul in early October, followed by performances in Osaka and Tokyo through December.

Since their debut in 2009, 2NE1 released a number of hit songs like "I Am the Best" and "I Don't Care." But they officially disbanded in 2016 after being practically inactive since 2014, with the four girls pursing their individual careers.

Meanwhile, the agency also revealed plans for another quartet BLACKPINK. The now globally-popular K-pop outfit, who renewed their contracts late last year solely for group activities, will come together again to embark on a world tour slated for next year.
