Girl band Le Sserafim's dance song 'Antifragile' played more than 200 million times on Spotify

SEOUL -- "Antifragile," the tile song of K-pop girl group Le Sserafim, has been streamed more than 200 million times for 96 days after its release on Spotify, the world's most popular music streaming service. The five-member band formed by Hybe's music label showcased young girls' firm stance to overcome various difficulties in life with a strong mentality through the dance song.
 
According to Source Music, the title track was played more than 200 million times as of January 21. The song featuring hooking melodies and lively dance movements contains the meaning of improving resilience and capability by going through different struggles and failures.
 
The cumulative number of Le Sserafim's 12 songs on Spotify reached 492 million. The girl group will release its debut single titled "FEARLESS" in Japanese on January 25. The album's title song entered the Billboard chart eight days after its release and its music video surpassed 100 million views on YouTube just 100 days after its release. 
 
The rookie band is a multinational group with two South Koreans, two Japanese and one American. The group has worked as a five-member group since May 2022 when its member Kim Ga-ram was allegedly embroiled in school bullying. Source music terminated the contract with the troubled member in July 2022.
