SEOUL, July 25 (AJU PRESS) – LG CNS, a South Korean IT services provider, is entering Japan's educational technology market in partnership with the local educational company AEON.

LG CNS said Thursday that the two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding to implement digital transformation across AEON’s network, which operates over 300 language schools.

The projects include developing an AI-powered English conversation app for Japanese public schools and enhancing AEON's online learning management system.

LG CNS plans to introduce a specialized version of its AI Speak Tutor 2 app for elementary and middle school students. The company also intends to revamp the existing app into a comprehensive English learning tool that includes speaking, reading, listening, and testing components.

"In collaboration with AEON, we aim to strategically expand our presence in the Japanese educational technology market, moving beyond B2C (business-to-consumer) to B2B (business-to-business) and B2G (business-to-government) sectors," said Park Sang-kyun, senior vice president of LG CNS's data analytics and AI division.
