SK Group provides $300,000 for Viet Nam's typhoon recovery

SEOUL, September 18 (AJP) - SK Group, which has maintained a strong cooperative relationship with Viet Nam, will donate $300,000 to assist in the recovery efforts following the recent typhoon damage in the Southeast Asian country.

The group announced Wednesday that it plans to deliver the $300,000 donation to Viet Nam's Fatherland Front Central Committee later this month. The funds will be used for local relief supplies and aid activities.

Recently, northern Vietnam has been severely affected by Typhoon Yagi, which has been recorded as the worst storm in 30 years, leading to landslides and floods.

SK Group has maintained a cooperative relationship with Vietnam for 30 years, working with major local companies such as Vingroup and Masan Group, the largest food, beverage, and distribution company in the region.

Since 1996, SK Group has also conducted free facial surgeries for children with facial deformities in Vietnam, giving new smiles to more than 4,300 children
