SEOUL, December 20 (AJP) - South Korea's top university leaders will gather in Seoul next week for a forum to discuss the challenges and tasks the country faces ahead of the new year.

Co-organized by English-language news agency AJP and its Korean-language affiliate Aju Business Daily, the University Presidents' Future Forum 2025 will bring together leaders from prestigious universities and other academic institutions including the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Seoul National University (SNU) and Yonsei University.

Organizers said the forum would offer in-depth insights as the country currently grapples with political turmoil along with an economic crisis in the wake of President Yoon Suk Yeol's aborted declaration of martial law earlier this month.

Under the theme "Renovation and Revolution of Korea," the forum is expected to offer insightful wisdom and timely solutions to weather the anticipated challenges in the Year of the Wood Snake.

It will open with keynote speeches by Seong Nak-in, a law expert and the former SNU president, Jeong Kap-young, an expert in international economics and the former president of Yonsei University, and Lee Kwang-hyung, artificial intelligence and neuroscience and the incumbent president of KAIST.
