LG CNS on Oct. 30 posted in its preliminary earnings filing an operating profit of 138.2 billion won ($103.4 million) for the quarter ended September, up 15 percent from a year earlier. Growth in AI and cloud services and revenue from core banking system projects drove the increase. Revenue rose 9.3 percent to 1.66 trillion won.
Digital business services posted the fastest growth of its three divisions, with revenue up 21.3 percent to 408.2 billion won. Smart engineering revenue edged down to 294.5 billion won as manufacturing activity slowed. Net profit fell 21.1 percent to 83 billion won.
