According to the Overseas Construction Association Tuesday, construction firms bagged a combined US$6.36 billion worth of orders in Asia in the first three months of this year, which accounts for 68 percent of total $9.36 billion worth of orders abroad.
The Middle East ranked second with $2.75 billion or 26 percent of the total, the association said.
A year ago, the Middle East ($2.75 billion) beat Asia ($1.58 billion). Yet since the beginning of 2013, construction companies have been flooded with orders from Asia, mostly Vietnam.
