First snow falls on Mt. Seorak

The first snow of this winter fell Thursday morning at the Daecheong-bong Peak and other hilly areas of Mt. Seorak in mountainous Gangwon Province, the regional meteorological office said.
The first snowfall on Mt. Seorak came a day later than last year. the office said.
Light snowfall started at around 7:30 a.m. and lasted for about four minutes, it said.
The Daecheong-bong Peak sits at 1,708 meters atop Mt. Seorak.
