Towering striker Kim Shin-wook joins in national team coach Stielike's roster for East Asian Cup

Kim Shin-wook, a striker for K-League Classic club Ulsan Hyundai who played for South Korea at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil,, has had his name put on the national team roster for the first time since Uli Stielike took the helm of the team last fall.  

Stielike Monday announced the 23-man roster for the 2015 East Asian Cup, a regional tournament which will be held in Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province, from Aug. 1 through Aug. 9. South Korea will face China on Aug. 2, Japan on Aug. 5 and North Korea on Aug. 9. 

Kim, a towering, 196-centimeter (6 ft 5 in) forward, got rehabilitation treatment after he suffered injuries on his right fibula during a football match of the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea. The South Korean team won the gold medal in the Incheon Asian Games.
