Korea's iconic father-figure actor Choi Bool-am dies SEOUL, October 30 (AJP) - Choi Bool-am, who lost his father as a boy but spent more than two decades teaching generations of South Koreans what a father could be through television, died Thursday in Seoul. He was 87. The veteran actor, whose real name was Choi Young-han, died at around 10 p.m. while receiving treatment at a hospital in western Seoul, his family said Friday.
