SEOUL -- Kyuhyun, a member of K-pop boy band Super Junior, will return to South Korea's music scene next month after he finished his mandatory military service.

Lable SJ, the 31-year-old's label, said in a statement on Thursday that Kyuhyun would be discharged from the military on May 7. He entered an army boot camp in May 2017 to serve as a public service worker at a center for the disabled in Seoul. He is going to hold a fan meeting on May 19 in Seoul.

Of Super Junior's nine members, eight have finished mandatory military services. The band has been active all the time since its debut in 2005 as members enlisted alternately.
