South Korean-born New Zealand golf star Lydia Ko has gained admission to Korea University in Seoul, the school said on Friday. The 17-year-old applied for the university's department of psychology and was accepted into the department through a special screening process for South Korean residents abroad, school officials said.
Ko, who went pro last year, is ranked third in the women's world golf rankings, after Park In-bee of South Korea and Stacy Lewis of the United States. She won the 2014 LPGA Rookie of the Year award.
