The agreement, signed on Tuesday, calls for technology exchanges and cooperation in infrastructure development across areas such as next-generation power generation projects, renewable energy, carbon capture and storage (CCS) and construction automation and robotics.
The state-run Surbana Jurong specializes in providing technical advice for national projects, including global urban and infrastructure management services.
The MOU was signed following the Singapore-Korea Business Forum, held during President Yoon Suk Yeol's visit to Singapore.
On the same day, Hyundai E&C also signed an agreement with Hyundai Motor and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) for joint technical research and demonstration projects in resource-circulating hydrogen and next-generation power initiatives.
According to Hyundai E&C, Singapore is focused on securing low-carbon energy and establishing a hydrogen energy foundation to achieve its goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.
