However, on its other side, parents need to be aware of the negative effects that smartphones can bring to their kids in the end. You might want to think twice before handing your child a smartphone to play with.
A recent study by a government-run research center in Korea says that children who are exposed repeatedly to magnetic rays such as those found in smart phones, are more likely to suffer from attention deficit disorders like ADHD as well as weakening eye sight.
This contrast to previous studies that claimed magnetic rays have no effect on a child‘s development. Korea’s Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute published these results on Monday adding that children are more susceptible to absorbing harmful magnetic rays than adults.
In response, the Korea Communications Comission said that it would come up with safety guidelines for children using mobile devices.
