Kim Yu-na invited to 2 Grand Prix events

Reigning Olympic figure skating champion Kim Yu-na has been invited to two Grand Prix events hosted by the International Skating Union (ISU) for the 2013-2014 season.

Kim, 23, will compete in round 2 of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series at St. John in Canada from Oct. 25-27 and round 5 in Paris, France, from Nov. 15-17, the ISU said.

In Canada, she will vie with Akiko Suzuki of Japan, Arena Reonowa of Russia, Gracie Gold of the United States and others. Participants in the Paris event include Ashley Wagner of the United States and Adelina Dmitriyevna Sotnikova of Russia.
