[Obituary] Singer and actress Yoo Chae-yeong dies at 41

South Korean singer and actress Yoo Chae-yeong died of stomach cancer at Severance Hospital in Seoul Thursday morning, her management agency in Seoul said. She was 41.

After being diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer in October last year, she underwent surgery. Her condition deteriorated sharply last Monday, according to the agency, 150entertainment.

Yoo married Kim Joo-hwan, a businessman, in September 2008.

She debuted at the age of 17 and was a former member of K-pop group Cool. She starred in dramas, films and TV shows.
