A legendary 86-year-old international jewel thief was caught stealing again just outside Atlanta.
The Dunwoody city police spokesperson said Wednesday that the notorious jewelry thief Doris Payne was arrested at a department store Tuesday after she stole a $1,995 diamond necklace in her pocket and leave the store. The police said that she now faces a shoplifting charge.
Payne is a notorious jewel thief who used over 22 aliases during her life of crime. She is known by the authorities of many countries to have stolen a total of more than an estimate of 2 million dollars. Her criminal career includes more than 20 arrests over the world from her childhood.
