SEOUL, Jan. 23 (Aju News) -- "Poet｜Artist", a posthumous album by Jonghyun, a former SHINee member who committed suicide last month, was unveiled Tuesday. SM Entertainment said the lyrics of all but one songs were written by the late singer.
The entertainment powerhouse said in a statement that the posthumous album contained 11 songs including "Shinin'", an electronic pop track. It expressed hope that through the album, fans would feel Jonghyun's sincere heart and love for music as he had tried very hard to communicate with fans through it.
SM said profits generated by the album would be used to support the people in need.
Jonghyun was found unconscious at a rented studio on December 19 last year in a police search at the request of his sister. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Police discovered brown coal briquettes burnt in a frying pan at the scene.
