SEOUL, April 15 (AJU PRESS) - LG Energy Solution, the battery-making arm of South Korea's LG Group, will implement generative artificial intelligence-based technologies to improve work efficiency. The company intends to utilize this AI solution to analyze customer demands.
The company said Sunday it adopted a generative AI solution that analyzes YouTube video clips and summarizes the latest trends in batteries, electric vehicle-related policies, and other work-related trends. Summarized content will be sent to workers, including executives, via email.
The company plans to establish an integrated AI platform by the end of this year to assist workers in the fields of enterprise resource planning, client and contract management, software development, purchasing of raw materials, and the overall process of battery making.
"Through AI technology, we will accelerate digital transformation to present differentiated customer values by automatically collecting and analyzing information on customers and market trends in the rapidly changing secondary battery market, and generating strategic reports to make data-driven decisions," the firm's executive director Lee Jin-kyu said in a press release.
Generative AI is a type of AI capable of generating new content such as images, text, or music based on patterns and training data. Data used for training is acquired through machine learning, with popular generative AI services like Chat GPT and Gemini collecting datasets from various sources including books, articles, websites, social media, and publicly available databases.
However, despite the convenience of generative AI, it poses risks related to data leaks. Users may unintentionally expose sensitive information and intellectual property, potentially violating data privacy regulations. Generative AI solutions have the capability to retain user conversations and utilize related information to generate responses for other users, leaking important data.
