SEOUL, October 10 (AJP) - Samsung Electronics has achieved a brand value of $100.8 billion this year, marking a 10 percent increase from last year, according to Interbrand's "Best Global Brands" report released Wednesday.

This milestone places the company in the fifth position globally for the fifth consecutive year, making it the only Asian brand in the top five.

Interbrand's evaluation, which considers financial performance, brand influence on purchasing decisions, and brand competitiveness, cited Samsung's efforts in mobile AI market penetration and the expansion of AI technology across its product range as key factors in its growth. The company's semiconductor division's AI competitiveness also contributed to the brand value increase.

Since first reaching the fifth position in 2020, Samsung's brand value has grown by 62 percent in four years. The company has been focusing on its "AI for All" vision, introducing AI-enhanced products such as the Galaxy S24 series, AI TVs, and Bespoke AI appliances.

Samsung has also been expanding its use of recycled materials in various product lines and collaborating with industry leaders to reduce carbon emissions during device usage. These sustainability efforts, along with consistent global brand strategies, were noted in Interbrand's assessment.
