AI, sustainability take center stage at upcoming CES 2025

SEOUL, December 23 (AJP) - The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, set to open Jan. 7-10 in Las Vegas, will host more than 4,500 companies from 160 countries under the theme "Dive In," focusing on connecting, solving problems, and discovering new possibilities through technology.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang will deliver his first keynote in eight years, expected to discuss next-generation AI accelerators and computing technology's impact.

Other keynote speakers include Panasonic Holdings CEO Yuki Kusumi addressing green energy solutions and Volvo CEO Martin Lundstedt sharing the company's vision for achieving net-zero across its value chain by 2040.

The event's Innovation Awards preview emerging tech trends, with SK Telecom winning top honors for "Scamvanguard," an AI-powered financial fraud prevention technology. Digital healthcare innovations include Bionic M's advanced prosthetic leg with electric motors and sensors, while fashion tech debuts as a new awards category featuring Myant's temperature-regulating jacket.

Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian will present the company's centennial innovation strategy at the Sphere, marking CES's first keynote at the Vegas venue.

The show will also spotlight mobility technology, with Corning showcasing vehicle infotainment devices and Carl Zeiss Microoptics presenting holographic camera technology.
