The studio signed a memorandum of understanding on June 26 with the Nexon Foundation and the Korea Ceramic Foundation to launch the initiative, dubbed "Borderless: Craft Archive."
The three parties will oversee artwork production, exhibitions and hands-on programs for visitors.
Six artisans working in ceramics, metal, woodcraft, glass, mother-of-pearl and textiles will reinterpret the "Blue Archive" intellectual property, with the partners conducting joint reviews and offering guidance at each stage of production.
The finished works will be unveiled at the Gyeonggi Ceramics Biennale 2026, held from Oct. 23 to Nov. 1 at the Gyeonggi Craft Center in Yeoju, south of Seoul, alongside experience programs for the public and gamers alike.
"It is meaningful that 'Blue Archive' is expanding into a new form through the interpretations of craft artists," said Kim Yong-ha, head of the division at Nexon Games.
"We hope this collaboration becomes an occasion to experience the IP in richer ways."
