Toss has announced the launch of a career mentoring program aimed at youth preparing for independence, in collaboration with the Green Umbrella Child Fund. This initiative is the first project following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in May, focusing on supporting career planning and job preparation.
The program will serve 15 independent youth aged 18 to 34 from across the country, offering financial education, job-specific lectures, and small group mentoring.
Spanning approximately seven weeks, the program includes both in-person training and online mentoring. During the first in-person session held on July 2, participants toured the Toss office in Sinnonhyeon and experienced key services, while also receiving training on topics such as the digital finance industry, financial management, and fraud prevention.
On July 3, team members from Toss across seven fields, including development, design, and business, participated as mentors, conducting job-specific lectures and small group mentoring. They reviewed participants' resumes and portfolios and shared insights on job experiences and preparation strategies.
Starting July 6, online mentoring will continue for about a month. Participants will have ongoing communication with mentors via email and video conferencing until August 5, focusing on career and job-related consultations. The program will conclude with a 'Toss Mentoring Day' on August 20.
A Toss representative stated, "We designed this program to allow Toss team members to become mentors for youth preparing for independence, helping them with career concerns and sharing job experiences. It also holds significance in fulfilling our corporate social responsibility through the voluntary participation of our team members."
