Kumho Construction has secured a bid for a public housing project comprising 1,295 units in the Godeok International City of Pyeongtaek.

On July 10, Kumho Construction announced that it has been selected as the preferred negotiator for the public housing construction project in the A-72 and A-73 blocks, commissioned by the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).

Kumho Construction is participating in a consortium with Isu Construction, Ssangyong Construction, and Umi Development, holding a 51% stake and serving as the lead contractor. The total project cost is 438.2 billion won.

The project will involve the construction of 17 buildings, ranging from one basement level to 20 stories, with apartment sizes between 74 and 84 square meters, totaling 1,295 units. The apartments will feature Kumho Construction's brand 'ARTERA.' Construction is set to begin in December of this year and is expected to be completed by July 2029.

Kumho Construction plans to orient all units to maximize natural light and will incorporate a smart Internet of Things (IoT) residential platform along with specialized community facilities for residents.

The project site is strategically located near major employers, including Samsung Electronics' Pyeongtaek campus, KG Mobility, and various industrial complexes, which are expected to generate strong demand.

A representative from Kumho Construction stated, "We aim to create a landmark development that represents the region, leveraging our construction capabilities and expertise in the public housing sector."

Additionally, Kumho Construction recently announced on July 1 that it has won a bid for a 225 billion won modernization project for the Gwacheon public sewage treatment facility, which aims to enhance and modernize sewage treatment capacity in response to the development of the third new town in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province.
