On September 14, the corporation announced it will solicit private proposals to utilize idle railway land near Centum Station and Geoje Station, aiming to promote local revitalization.
The targeted sites include approximately 6,600 square meters in Jae-song-dong, Haeundae District, Busan, and about 7,500 square meters in Geoje-dong, Yeonje District, Busan. The corporation plans to explore various development plans that leverage the unique characteristics of each site and the surrounding development conditions.
The Centum Station site will consider development plans in light of the construction of a new Haeundae District Office and the renovation of aging residential areas. The Geoje Station site is expected to improve local parking conditions through the development of dedicated parking structures.
