NC continues its support for game startups participating in G-Star. This year marks the 10th anniversary of its sponsorship, and the company has set up a dedicated booth in the business-to-consumer (B2C) exhibition area, allowing startups to showcase their games to the general public.
NC announced on the 27th that it will operate the 'Startup with NC' booth at the international game exhibition 'G-Star 2026,' which will be held from November 19 to 22 at BEXCO in Busan. The startups participating with NC's support include Superjoy and Jinisoft. This year, NC has expanded its support from the traditional business-to-business (B2B) area to include a booth in the B2C section, enabling participating companies to present their games and gauge user reactions.
Since 2017, NC has sponsored startups' participation in G-Star in collaboration with the Korea Internet Corporations Association to invigorate the gaming industry ecosystem. Up until last year, it had provided support to a total of 43 startups across 51 instances. Supported companies received independent booths in the B2B area, exhibition tickets, opportunities for business collaboration with industry professionals, and media interview chances.
The support has led to significant achievements in revenue, employment, and investment. According to a performance survey conducted by the Korea Internet Corporations Association, the 17 responding companies reported a revenue of approximately 67.58 billion won in 2025, a 558% increase from about 10.27 billion won at the time of their G-Star participation.
Employment has also expanded. The number of employees in the responding companies grew from 163 at the time of G-Star participation to 448 currently, resulting in an additional 285 jobs. These companies have secured a cumulative investment of 19.28 billion won and signed contracts worth 15.72 billion won since participating in G-Star.
Jang Hyun-young, NC's Executive Director of External Cooperation, stated, “Startups that have participated in G-Star over the past decade have become new growth engines for the gaming industry. This year, by participating in the B2C area, we aim to broaden the opportunities for startups to connect with users and will continue to strive for the sustainable growth of the gaming ecosystem.”
