KCON 2014 takes place in Los Angeles

The KCON 2014 (Korean Convention) event opened at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California, Saturday (local time). The two-day festival included concerts, workshops, panel discussions and Korean pop-culture exhibitions.

Several K-pop bands performed during the “M Countdown” concerts. They included G-Dragon, VIXX, Teen Top, B1A4, BTS, Girls’ Generation and CNBLUE.

Other performers included singer IU, singer and TV presenter Kim Jae-kyung and actress Yoo In-na.

The sports arena was crowded with about 40,000 fans during the event, reports said.
