South Korean pop diva Ailee dropped music video (MV) for her comeback track "Home".
The 27-year old singer launched Tuesday her new album "A New Empire" and its title track Home is about a woman longing for her ex-boyfriend. Yoon Mirae, South Korean female rapper featured on the track, adding soulful rap verses.
Ailee declared herself as an "urban hip-hop artist" at a showcase held on Tuesday, saying that she tried the genre earlier but she held it back. "I guess I was afraid," the singer said. "Urban hip-hop is an alien genre in South Korea. It began to get people's attention only lately."
She also made some changes in her style of music. While her past tracks were strong in beat and lyrics, Ailee's latest album is more moody, with rich grooves and stylish beats. Ailee said: "I finally got to sing the genre that I wanted so badly. The mere idea of it makes me excited and grateful."
