Fans want Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo, who acted as an on-screen couple at South Korea's hit drama "Descendants of the Sun", to become lovers in their real life, according to a survey published Wednesday.
In an online survey of 2,000 adults, conducted by the polling agency, Panel Marketing Interactive, 16.4 percent wanted Song Joong-ki, 31, to maintain his love off-screen with Song Hye-kyo, 35.
Hyun Woo and Lee Se-young from the KBS family drama "The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop" were second with 11.1 percent, followed by Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung from "Love in the Moonlight" with 8.7 percent.
The popularity of Songs was phenomenal across Asia. Song Joong-ki and other casting members have been busy attending fan meetings and other events last year.
